Jharkhand Education Budget 2022-23: Education Loan, Coaching for Competitive Exams in Pipeline

On March 3, 2022, Jharkhand Government presented the Jharkhand Budget 2022-23. Through the budget, the government proposed the Guruji Credit Card scheme through which the students will be able to get an education loan at the nominal interest rate. The Jharkhand Budget 2022-23 has been created to provide benefits for the deprived sections. The Jharkhand Government announced an overall budget of Rs 1.01-lakh crore, with the highest allocation to the health & infrastructure department. Through the Guruji Credit Card scheme, the government has aimed to provide higher education opportunities to the students without the need for collateral security.

Another scheme, Mukhyamantri Sarathi Scheme, has also been launched with the aim of helping graduate students prepare for the competitive exams. The government also announced the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Trans-national Scholarship scheme through the budget for the backward, scheduled caste, and other minority communities. The Jharkhand government has also announced to provide Rs 50,000 per house built under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (Rural) for the construction of an additional room.

The government has also announced that an airport will be constructed in Sahebganj which will be extending air travel in the Santhal region. 100 units of free electricity have also been announced for the farmers and poor families to reduce the burden of electricity bills on them. A startup capital venture fund has also been planned by the state government to encourage start-ups in the state. Moreover, the state government has also proposed the plan of the air ambulance at minimal costs through the wet-lease.
