JK Lakshmipat University Organises 6th International Conference on 5G
- JK Lakshmipat University organized the 6th International Conference on ‘Green, Growth, Globalization, Governance and GST: Challenges & Opportunities’.
- More 60 delegates from different parts of the country and aboard took part in the conference.
JK Lakshmipat University has organised an international conference on ‘Green, Growth, Globalisation, Governance and GST (5G) – Challenges & Opportunities’ from February 02 to February 04, 2018. The international conference was organised in collaboration with Water Float, BSE’s Investors Protection Fund and St. Cloud State University, USA. Managing Trustee of Pratham Rajasthan, Dr. KB Kothari was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Conference Co-Chair and Professor at St. Cloud State University, Dr. Ben Baliga delivered the keynote address. In his address, Dr. Ben focused on global perception towards current Indian Economy. He suggested the entrepreneurs should learn from failures and must not be afraid of failures.
Conference Patron and Vice Chancellor of JK Lakshmipat University, Dr. RL Raina delivered the Presidential address. In his address, Dr. Raina explained the philosophy behind 5Gs (Green, Growth, Globalisation, Governance and GST). He linked the theme of the conference with the innovations taking place at the varsity. He cited that sustainable growth could be possible only by focusing on environmental sustainability. He concluded that the higher economic growth would be possible only by ensuring greener economy.
Guest of Honour, Mr. Rajeev Kumar delivered the inaugural speech. During his address, Mr. Rajeev linked the theme of the conference with contemporary challenges of the country. He explained about the different initiatives that are being taken in smart cities and the process involved in it. According to him, sustainable growth can be possible with a clear global perspective and good governance.
On February 2 and 3, 2018, six technical and two plenary sessions were organised. Prizes were awarded to the winners of ‘Best Ph.D. Dissertation Contest’. Dr. Manessha Kaushi and Dr. Debarun Chakraborthy from SKIT Jaipur and Institute of Technology West Bengal bagged the prizes.
The international conference received 105 papers for presentation, out of which 86 were invited for presentation. More than 60 delegates from different parts of the country and aboard took part in the conference.
On February 04, 2018, a local sightseeing tour was organised.
