JNTU-Hyderabad, CII Telangana Inks Pact
JNTUH and CII have signed pact to promote innovation and to create a full-fledged IP ecosystem at JHUB of the university. The MoU with JNTU Hyderabad would help researchers and engineering graduates work on industry relevant products.
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTU-H) and CII Telangana have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to create IP eco-system at JHUB of the varsity.
JNTU-H and CII Inks Pact to Create IP Eco-System
The MoU was signed by Prof A Venugopal Reddy, Vice Chancellor JNTU-H and Sanjay Singh, Chairman CII Telangana in the campus itself. The collaboration will conduct training programmes for faculty and students in IP.
CI-Telangana will establish a satellite office of CII IPR Cell on the campus itself. It will serve as a single window all IP aspects of faculty and will promote innovation among students through advisory, awareness, counselling and commercialisation.
The collaboration facilitates IP clinics where students and faculty can talk to experts and seek their guidance in the field of IP Protection and product commercialisation.

JNTU-H and CII Inks Pact to Promote Innovation
Chairperson of CII Telangana and Vice-Chancellor of JNTU-H signed the MoU in the presence of Education Minister of Telangana state, Mr. Kadiyam Srihari.
Highlighting the objectives of the MoU, Chairperson of CII explained that promoting the culture of technology product development is possible only by enabling experimentation, ideation and prototype development. Through this MoU, CII will facilitate faculty development programmes on the latest technologies of interest.

Vice Chancellor of JNTU-H indicated that the varsity is initiating university-wide R&D (research and development) and Innovation initiative called J-Hub with an objective to enhance the quality of engineering education. Through this MoU, engineering graduates and researchers could work on industry relevant products and applied research in various problems of industry and societal relevance.

JNTU-H has been moving towards digitalisation by taking up various digital initiatives. The government of Telangana has been supporting and encouraging universities in the state to take up such initiatives such as the introduction of the online mechanism of admissions for UG courses last year.
