JNTUA Students to be Trained in Augmented Reality
Final year students of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur, Andra Pradesh would be trained by X-Lenz and EduRidge in creating applications for android phones with 3-D reality images.
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh is going to train their third and fourth-year students in Augmented Reality and 3-D images. The initiative is supported by a California, USA- based company named X-Lenz and a Hyderabad based startup named EduRigde with a motive to enable young students to work in the field of application development and augmented reality. It is a great opportunity for students to be a part of this training.
On Wednesday, at a press conference, Vice-Chancellor of JNTUA S.S Kumar mentioned that the university received grants from the World Bank to enhance their technology and training facility for students. As a result, a batch of 20 students form Electronics Engineering, Computer Science and other related branches would be participating in the augmented & virtual training projects. X-Lenz and EduRige chose to invest in this project to prepare the engineers in app building as it is one of the leading career options for Computer Engineers.

Also, if the trained students perform well in their training session and meet all expectations of the industry then the University would think of having a Memorandum of Understanding with the companies to train their students on a continuous basis.
Founder of EduRidge, Bandi Saurav is a 2019 graduate of Engineering from Nalla Malla Reddy Engineering College and has been working to build a community of students interested in exploring new opportunities in the field of technology & development. The company motivates young students to participate in small projects while completing their education. At present, the company has successfully made a community of 1700 students.

Due to this initiative of JNTUA, enrolled students would get a chance to enhance their perspective, they would also get a chance to learn and innovate while continuing their education which in future will provide better employment opportunity and exposure to them. If the current batch performs well this project might become a continuous part of the engineering programme.
