JNU Student Alleges Entrance Test Paper Leak
JNU student alleges that the JNUEE 2019 entrance exam was leaked. JNU Vice-Chancellor has asked NTA to look into the matter and enquire about the same.
One of the Jawaharlal Nehru University students has written to M Jagadesh Kumar, Vice- Chancellor JNU stating that the entrance exam of the university was leaked. A letter regarding the same has been submitted by the students to Controller of Examination and Vice-Chancellor of JNU demanding to look into the matter. The student has demanded an enquiry into the suspicion among the JNUEE candidates that the university's question paper Cluster 1 which took place on 28th May 2019 was leaked.
According to the sources, the question paper of German, Russian, French and Spanish were found circulating on WhatsApp. It is for the first time that the JNU entrance exams are conducted online. Vice - Chancellor has agreed to forward the matter to the concerned authority.
The varsity officials remained unavailable for comments on the respective matter. The university officials claimed that the entrance exam was circulated after the exam took place and anyone could claim it was leaked. Vineet Joshi, Director General NTA stated that they have not received any complaint from JNU regarding the same and it is impossible that the paper was leaked.
According to Prasad, conducting the entrance exam is the responsibility of the National Testing Agency (NTA). The entrance exam is conducted by the NTA and it is their responsibility to ensure the credibility of the JNUEE. The JNUEE exam was conducted on 28th May. It was for the first time that the exam was conducted in online mode.
