JoSAA IIIT Round 1 Cutoff 2024: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority has released JoSAA IIIT Round 1 cutoff 2024 on June 20 in the form of opening and closing ranks for different courses and categories. Candidates who do not get admission to IIIT in JoSAA round 1 seat allotment 2024 can go through the cutoff details of Round 1 to have a tentative idea of admission chances in Round 2. Candidates waiting for Round 2 seat allotment for admission to IIIT can expect the allotment in the second round as the seats might remain vacant after Round 1. JoSAA Round 1 IIT Cutoff 2024 Highlights
As per the responses received from the students, the allocation highlights are given here. Based on these, students can predict the cutoff until JoSAA officially releases the same.
- As per the first response, a candidate who secured 13577 rank got IIITM Gwalior (IT B.tech + MBA).
- As enquired by an EWS candidate with a 15552 rank for IIIT Jabalpur for CSE/ECE, our take is that admission will remain tough at that rank range. Last year, in Round 6, the CSE cutoff for the EWS category closed at 2360 while the ECE cutoff closed at 3476.
- An OBC candidate with a 9856 rank got admission in IIIT Kottayam in the CSE branch.
- A student with an EWS category rank of 2013 got CSE at IIITM Gwalior.
- Admission to CSE (AI & DS) happened at 8359 OBC category rank.
- IT branch admission via open category to IIIT Bhopal at 24676 rank.
- A student with 16162 rank got IIIT Dharwad for ECE branch via OBC, female + supernumerary quota. If any candidate is confused with what to do after seat allocation, then they shall check Important Instructions to be followed after JoSAA Seat Allotment 2024 Round 1 for all necessary details.
- A candidate with rank 5475 (SC rank list) secured a 5-year integrated ECE programme at IIIT Kanchipuram. For same branch at NIT Trichy, the cutoff rank is likely to remain around 2500. Admission to NIT Trichy is likely for other courses such as Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Production Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Instrumentation and Control Engineering.
