JoSAA IIT Round 1 Cutoff 2024: Joint Seat Allotment Authority will release JoSAA IIT Round 1 Cutoff 2024 today, June 20. The candidates must note that the IIT Round 1 cutoff will include the course and category-wise opening & closing ranks. Usually, seats in top IITs are filled in the JoSAA Round 1 counselling due to the competition level. As securing admission to IIT for the CSE course may not be possible in Round 2 due to the competition, candidates who do not get a seat in Round 1 can expect admission to other courses in Round 2. Round 2 aspirants are advised to go through the Round 1 IIT Cutoff 2024 to estimate admission chances and decide whether to wait for JoSAA seat allotment Round 2 or proceed with an alternative admission option.

JoSAA Round 1 IIT Cutoff 2024 Highlights
As per the responses received from the students, the allocation highlights are given here. Based on these, students can predict the cutoff until JoSAA officially releases the same.- As per the first response, one of the candidates who secured 2874 rank got IIT Bombay (Civil).
- Another candidate with 1648 rank got IIT Ropar (CSE) from the Open category.
- A candidate with SC category rank 4788 had applied for IIT Bhubaneshwar but did not get the allotment. Last year, the lowest cutoff for Round 6 at IIT Bhubaneshwar was for Civil Engineering at 4616.
- A candidate with EWS category rank 337 got admission to IIT Roorkee Electrical Engineering.
- An open category candidate with a 1357 rank got admission to the ECE course at IIT Kharagpur.
- An OBC student with a 3100 category rank got admission to IIT Kanpur in Biological Science.
- A candidate with OBC category rank 4696 got Chemical Engineering at IIT Tirupati.
- At 754 ST category rank, the candidate got Civil Engineering in IIT Ropar.
- In IIT Hyderabad, the open category admission to Computational Engineering was seen at 158 rank while that to Biomedical Engineering was done at 8140 rank.
- ECE admission to IIT Kharagpur via open category was done at 1016 rank.
- Again in the open category, a candidate got Engineering Physics admission in IIT Guwahati at 5159 rank.
- Mechanical Engineering admission to IIT BHU Varanasi was secured at 5092 rank for the open category.
