JoSAA Round 3 Cutoff 2023 Instructions
To get a seat at a good college, candidates need to choose their preferences strategically. Applicants can follow the important instructions below to fill in their choices appropriately:
Candidates must remember that with every round the chances of admission become more as the cutoff ranking decreases as the number of available seats also goes down.
While editing the option form before round 4 allocation, applicants must check the cutoff for their preferred colleges and also the colleges that are actually available at their merit range. Candidates are advised to input the ones that accept their merit ranks. This will increase their chances of admission and avoid issues like the non-allotment of a seat.
Applicants must mark their preferences in descending order and include lower colleges as well to get a confirmed seat.
For Round 4 allocation, the majority of seat allocation will be done for the consequential vacancies created as a result of upward allocation and hence, there is likely to be a lesser margin in Round 3 and Round 4 cutoffs, especially for popular institutes and branches.
