Karunya Institute of Technology & Science (KITS), Tamil Nadu is a deemed to be university in Tamil Nadu offering Science and Technology courses to students. The institute offers CBCS integrated B. Tech courses and CBCS integrated Science courses in accordance with the latest developments in the industry.
Admission to B. Tech courses at Karunya Institute of Technology & Sciences was basis Karunya Entrance Examination (KEE). Starting 2018, KITS will accept direct admission to its B. Tech courses at the university. The KEE 2018 application form is out and every aspiring students planning to take exam should keep the KEE important dates at hand.
Eligibility Criteria for Admission to KEE 2018 for B. Tech:
- Class 12 pass from a recognized board by UGC or GOI
- Student should have studied PCM in Class 12 with minimum 50% score
- Students who have studied 10+2 in the Vocational stream (with subjects like General machinist, electrical machines and appliances, electronic equipment, draughtsman civil, auto mechanic, textile technology, etc.) are also eligible to apply (with one of these 3 subjects - Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry)
Eligibility Criteria for Admission to KEE 2018 for Biotech & Food Process Engineering:
- Pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination with 50% marks aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
- Pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination with 50% marks aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Zoology / Botany / Computer Science (with the condition that the aspirant has not studied Mathematics in +2 or Equivalent)
NOTE* - Students applying for any of the courses should not be more than 21 years of age as of in July 2018.
Application Process for KEE 2018:
- Students interested in applying for KEE 2018, will need to fill up the online application form or Expression of Interest (EOI) on the official website
- Key data entry points on the EOI include: name, e-mail D, mobile no, level of study, preferred programme of study, Class 10th marks
- Student will receive email/ SMS with application no & password, once s/he submits the EOI
- Students will then need to log in using these credentials and upload their Class 12 marksheets & other relevant documents, and make payment
- Students will need to make payment of Rs. 51,000 as initial deposit + Rs. 1000 application fee (via online or through DD or by cash)
- Once done, you will be able to download the provisional admission offer
- Students will need to produce the original certificates of the all the documents

KEE 2018 Exam Pattern:
2018 KEE question paper used to be 2.5 hours long and comprises of 5 sections with 50 questions in each section. Each question carries 1 mark and a negative marking of 0.25 mark will levy on every incorrect answer. As per sources, the KEE engineering entrance exam has been discontinued and admission to Karunya Institute of Technology & Science (KITS), Tamil Nadu will be conducted directly.
