However, going with the norm of online classes for the first time came as quite a challenge for the officials of Kerala colleges. While several teachers faced issues related to the tools available for online classes, several students reported issues with internet connectivity. On the first day of online classes, only 30% of attendance was marked by the students. This happened due to the reason that most of the teachers were not familiar with the smartphones or the advanced tools used in online classes. Moreover, the students exhausted their daily data plans due to the large files which were difficult to download through the portal.
