The Kerala Government issues order for Higher Secondary Teacher Appointments. No preference for high school teachers has been announced.
Kerala Higher Secondary Appointments New Guidelines Issued: The Kerala Government issued an order for not giving preference to high school teachers during higher secondary appointments in the state. Usually, the preference is given to high school teachers who have experience of 10 years and later succeed in getting posts in higher secondary sections through transfer. The guidelines aim to streamline the recruitment process and ensure that only qualified and competent individuals are hired for teaching at the secondary level.
According to the order issued by the General Education Department, candidates who have successfully qualified for Higher Secondary appointment prerequisite State Eligibility Test (SET) will be preferred for recruitment into Kerala PSC Higher Secondary School Teacher (HSST), and HSST junior posts. Furthermore, if the candidate has not cleared SET for the higher secondary appointment then, the 10-year experience criteria be considered.
