Kerala High Court Orders Investigation for "NEET OMR Sheet Fraud"
The High Court has order an investication in response to a petition filed by an applicant who took the NEET 2021 exam and claimed that the thumb impression, signature, roll number, handwriting, and parents' names on the OMR sheet were all incorrect.
NEET 2021: The Kerala High Court has ordered an investigation into suspected misconduct of OMR sheet by a candidate in the NEET 2021 exam. As per the case, the OMR sheet that was released in the form of the NEET Response Sheetdid not match the actual OMR sheet submitted by the candidate during the test. Not only this but it has also been claimed that during the exam, the candidate's fingerprints and personal details were submitted. Although, the fingerprint on the published OMR sheet does not match with hers. The handwriting in which she entered her parent's name on the NEET OMR sheethas also been changed into someone else's handwriting. These claims have been submitted by the NEET appearing candidate, Rithu Sibi from Varandarappilly, Thrissur.
The candidate has also claimed that the roll number in the sheet that has been entered in numerals and the one that is visible on the published OMR sheet is completely different. The left-hand thumb impression of the candidates has also failed to match as per the claim.
After examining the petition, Justice N Nagaresh ordered the National Testing Agency (NTA) to conduct an investigation. The order was made in response to a petition filed by an applicant who took the NEET 2021 exam and claimed that the thumb impression, signature, roll number, handwriting, and parents' names on the OMR sheet were all incorrect and did not match with records submitted by her. The Court recognized the seriousness of the charges and ordered an immediate investigation.
The Bombay High Court recently halted the announcement of NEET results in order to conduct re-examinations for two applicants who claimed that their test booklets and OMR sheets were jumbled up during the NEET exam held on 12th September 2021.
