KGMU to Introduce MCQ at PG Level

The King George's Medical University (KGMU) has changed the pattern of its postgraduate-level exams, wherein students appearing for professional exams will now have to answer multiple choice questions (MCQ) instead of descriptive questions.

According to Vice-chancellor of KGMU, Prof Ravi Kant, most medical institutes abroad follow the MCQ pattern and its important to keep up with the pattern and the new pattern would be useful to all students.

As per a circular issued by the office of the controller of examination to all departments, in 2016 the second and third papers in MD, MS, DM, MCh and PG diploma courses will be based on the MCQ pattern, while the first and fourth paper will be subjective.
