KLU Organize National Seminar
A three-day national seminar on “Indian cultures, traditions and literature” organized by the English department of Koneru Lakshmaiah Univ
A three-day national seminar on “Indian cultures, traditions and literature” organized by the English department of Koneru Lakshmaiah University was inaugurated on 28-March-2016. The seminar was inaugurated by, P.Suneel Kumar, IG, CID along with Vice-chancellor, M.Ramana Murthy.
Addressing the students the chief guest said, “The literature has to undergo changes in accordance with the changing cultures and traditions. The literature must be in a simple and easy language where each and every person with Basic English skills could understand it”. He felt that the modern literature must challenge the age-old traditions and customs”. He advised the students to develop writing skills which are very much essential to becoming a popular writer. He motivated the students to concentrate on writing along with academics. He opined that. “Academics are just a part of life”.
Around 120 delegates and research scholars from various universities attended the seminar to present their papers. A booklet related to the theme of the seminar was launched on the occasion. The second day of the seminar continued with paper presentations.
The seminar was attended by research scholars, eminent professors, faculty, students, print and electronic media.
