Kolkata's Vishal Bohra Aces CAT 2017 without Coaching

The success story of Vishal Bohra from Kolkata who scored 100 percentile in CAT 2017 is inspiring. In the CAT 2017 results that were released on January 8, 2018, Vishal Bohra featured in the list of toppers. Including Vishal, 20 candidates scored 100 percentile in CAT 2017.

Vishal Bohra did not rely on coaching centres to crack CAT 2017 exam with 100 percentile. He believed in self-study and worked hard to achieve the target. According to him, self-belief, self-confidence and self-study were the keys to his success in CAT 2017 exam. Vishal relied on online tutorials and practised numerous mock tests.

Vishal Bohra is a civil engineering graduate of Jadavpur University. He was able to score 100 percentile on his third attempt. Even though Vishal performed well in the previous two CAT exams, his target to achieve 100 percentile made him take the exam for the third time.

Vishal’s overall CAT 2017 score was 245, with 97 in QA, 73 in DILR and 74 in VARC. He is aspiring to get admission in IIM Ahmedabad/ IIM Calcutta/ IIM Bangalore/XLRI/ FMS Delhi.

Giving his analysis on CAT 2017 question paper, Vishal pointed that the QA section was easy, while DILR part was slightly difficult.

Apart from CAT 2017, Vishal had also appeared forXAT andIIFTexams this year. He has already been selected for the second round of selection process in IIFT.

He suggested the future CAT aspirants learn basics of each topic and take more mock tests to understand the pattern and nature of questions.
