The commission is planning to induct 8-10 students from LLB and Political Science final years’ courses to give students experience in matters pertaining to minority rights, law, and other subjects. This was stated by Zafarul Islam Khan, the panel’s chairman.

Students from political science and law departments can visit the Commission for a week or so to understand how things work and how complaints are received and dealt with. The interns will also be able to engage with the commission’s members, chairman and staff and in addition to it, they will also gain practical experience of the panel’s working when it comes to dealing with matters which have legal implications, Khan said. Towards the end of the internship, the students will get a certificate and a token honorarium.
