LB Engineering College Organize Guest Lecture on Computer programming

The EEE department ofLakki Reddy Bal Reddy College of engineeringorganized a Guest lecture on “Computer programming” on 4-April-2016. The guest lecture was delivered by Dr.S.Lakshmi Narayana.

Addressing the students he said that, “Students can participate in various online competitions related to computer programming conducted by various websites. By this way, students can earn 10,000 dollars if they win in the competition. An organization called ‘Funding for women empowerment conducts these types of competitions, especially for girl students. The winners will be funded by the organization for higher studies. Various organizations are also offering scholarships for the students who are good at initiating new ideas”. He motivated the students to get proficiency in computer programming so that they could be eligible to participate in the competition. He explained the process of online competitions through power point presentation. He felt that these competitions would give a new exposure to the students.

Students posed various questions to the guest speaker regarding the online competitions and got answered very briefly. The guest speaker was felicitated by the college management.

College Director, Dr. E.V. Prasad said that “Students should not concentrate on academics but also on the online competitions and other things related to the development of knowledge”. He thanked the guest speaker for enlightening their students about online competitions.

The guest lecture was attended by College principal, faculty of EEE department, students, print and electronic media.
