Major changes have been made in JEE Main 2021 such as conducting the exam more than twice, revision of exam pattern and much more. Here is the complete list of changes implemented for JEE Main 2021.
JEE Main 2021 Phase 1 exam dates have been confirmed, and the entrance exam will be conducted from February 23 to 26, 2021. Some of the major changes have been made in the examination process this year. Recently, in his webinar on exams 2021, HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal expressed the possibility of conducting JEE Main 2021 more than twice to reduce board exams and entrance exam stress. The application form for JEE Main 2021 has been released.
JEE Main 2021 Exam Reforms/Changes
Here is the list of major changes in JEE Main 2021 –
Exam to be Conducted More than Twice | JEE Main 2021 will be conducted four times so that students can balance board exams & entrance exam preparation. The entrance exam is conducted be conducted in February, March, April, and May. |
Change in Exam Pattern | JEE Main 2021 will have 90 questions instead of 75. Students will be given an option to answer any 75 questions of their choice. The number of questions in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics will be increased from 25 to 30. The exam pattern has been revised accordingly. There will be no negative marking in Section B |
Exam in Regional Languages | JEE Main 2021 will be conducted in 13 languages |
Fee Payment for All Sessions at a Time | Candidates have the option to pay fee for all four sessions at a time. If the does not want to appear for the exam after fee payment, he/ she can seek a refund of fees and withdraw the application form. |
Chance to Apply for Multiple Sessions at a Time | Interested candidates can apply for multiple sessions at a time or can also apply after the conclusion of each cycle of the exam. The application portal will be re-opened after each session. |
Reform about JEE Advanced | Candidates who were eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2020 and were not able to attend due to Covid-19 difficulty will get a chance to appear for JEE Advanced 2021 without JEE Main 2021 requirement. Click Here to read the full story. |
