<p>Students of several states depicted the tradition and culture of different places at the ‘Ethnic Day’ celebrations at the Andhra Loyola College as part of the Ethnic Day Celebration programme.
It was a culture curry of different states celebrating Ethnic Day at the college. There was a bit slice of Kerala, a bit of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Punjab, Rajasthan and other Norther states as well depicting the cultures and traditions of respective States, students dressed in traditional attires and also arranged food items at different stalls at the Andhra Loyola College as part of the Ethnic Day Celebration.
Students from Kerala presented the ‘Unni Appam’ at a stall, the Telugus offered Putharekulu, Boppatlu and Pulihora at another stall and students from North presented dishes like Chole Bathura, Pani Puri, Rasgulla at different stalls.
There was different traditional dance shows showcasing the art and culture of different States. The theme for the show was Respecting Respective Culture. Students performed the Kerala ethnic dance and Kolatam dances as well.
“It is a unique platform and students learnt about different states and their cultures. It is like bringing all the cultures and traditions under one roof,” said a student.
Our objective was to promote universal brotherhood and help students understand the cultures and traditions of different States. This is an annual affair where students from different parts of the said, an organizer.
