Lovely Professional University Hosts a Massive Hotel Management Summit
Lovely Professional University held a mammoth hotel management summit at its campus. The institute had participations from various hotel chains and many professionals attended the summit.
The School of Hotel Management and Tourism and the Division of Career Services at the famous Lovely Professional University held the first ever massive ‘HR Summit’ of the global hotel industry at the campus of LPU. A total of eighteen HR Stalwarts belonging to several national and international hotel industries addressed the thousands of management students that were present.
The occasion was graced by the presence of His Excellency High Commissioner of Namibia, Gabriel P Sinimbo. He addressed the group of intellectuals and referred to India as a country that is incredible and has great human resource. He also offered opportunities for entrepreneurship in his fast developed country, especially in the areas of tourism.

The HR leaders that had gathered at the summit included GMs, Heads, Directors, and Consultants from about 16 top hotel chains that were national as well as international. They all deliberated on ‘Future Trends in Hospitality’ and put forth ideas to be propagated for the betterment of the sector, the students, and society.
The hotel groups that participated in the summit included ITC Gardenia, Taj Hotels, Pullman, Marriott International, Radisson Blu, Hilton Garden Inn, Park Hotel, Hyatt Regency, Vivanta, Eagle Group, Grand Hotel, Suryaa Hotel and many more.
Mr. Deepak Behl, the Director of Human Resources at the Park Hotel, was the keynote speaker of the inaugural session. He provided excellent data and assured all aspiring hoteliers studying at LPU School of Hotel Management and Tourism that the future of the hospitality industry is quite lucrative and promising. He spoke on behalf of the other HR participants and emphasized on the fact that their collective participation is because of the social responsibility of awakening, inspiring, and correctly guiding the human resource of this sector that is forthcoming.
