The university has received an air quality monitoring device from the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM) on November 9, 2016. The instrument will help the varsity to record real-time date of atmospheric pollution. The instrument has a PM Analyser which will enable finding out the concentration of PM 2.5 & PM 10, air pollutants that are responsible for making Lucknow air poisonous.
The device will be installed under the supervision of Prof. Dhruv Sen Singh. He explained that the air quality could be monitored round the clock with the help of the device.
