Madhya Pradesh Allows Covid Positive Students to Appear for Board Exams 2022

Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) has already announced Class 10th and 12th exam dates for the year 2022. Keeping in mind the weakening third wave and high vaccination intake the board has decided to conduct offline exams this year. The board exams will be conducted from February 12 to March 20 2022 along with the practical examinations for both classes.
All the students will be allowed to sit for the examination irrespective of whether they are corona positive or negative. Students who are found to be positive will be made to sit in a separate room along with other infected students. As per reports, 18 lakh students will appear in the Class 10th and 12th board exams in the state. Last year all the exams were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As per the schedule, Class 12 exams will begin with English from February 17 while class 10th examinations will run from 18 February to 10 March 2022. There are strict Covid-19 protocols in place to conduct the board exams safely. Proper sanitisation and social distancing will be maintained at all the examination centers. Students will have to wear masks all the time.
The exam timings are also changed this year from 10 am to 1 pm instead of 9 am to 12 am followed till last year. The Class 10th theory exams will be conducted for 80 marks and Class 12th theory will be conducted for 70 marks only. The remaining 20 and 30 marks respectively will be allocated to practicals and internal assessments.
