According to MP Adhiniyam 2007, the private BDS colleges have to grant admissions as per Class 12 marks only if any seats are vacant after the two rounds of counselling. In the first two rounds of counselling, the admission must be given to the candidates as per the score they secure in the entrance examination conducted by the state government.

Therefore, the private BDS colleges in the state have no other option except to cancel admissions which were done as per Class 12 marks.
