Maharashtra Class 10 English Exam 2024 Most Important Topics: In the English question paper, two textual passages and two textual poems will be asked. Each passage will be of 10 marks while each poem will carry a weightage of 5 marks. Hence, only 30 marks out of 80 marks are attributed to textbook chapters while the rest 50 marks of weightage is for non-textual passages, grammar, writing skills, and other such topics.
As the textual passages will be provided, it is more important to focus on other aspects of the questions that can be asked in it such as synonyms, antonyms, figures of speech, etc. However, candidates shall take note that a question ‘Personal Response’ to the passage will be asked in all 4 passages, two textual and two non-textual. Any one: Story Writing or Narrating an experience
While it is advised to do accurately any one of the two options available in the writing skills section, it is also equally important to go through the other option as well, its required format and so on. If the option you prepare is tough, it is better to have knowledge of another as a backup so that you don’t lose marks there.
