Maharashtra Government to Offer Fellowship to Engineering Students
Selected graduate and post-graduate students will now get an opportunity to work in reputed State government administrative offices on the fellowship
Selected graduate and post-graduate students will now get an opportunity to work in reputed State government administrative offices on the fellowship in Maharashtra.
Maharashtra Government's CM office launched this fellowship program for the students.
Around 50 students aged between 21 to 25 years will be selected through an entrance test and will be given a scholarship of ` 35,000 and 5,000 travelling allowance, during the fellowship.
The fellowship period will be for 11 months.
The fellowship is called as Chief Minister Fellowship Scheme an initiative of CM Devendra Fadnavis.
Students from reputed education institution, IIT's, government engineering colleges, NIT's and other premier educational institutions will be selected for this fellowship on the basis of their experience. Students from other groups will need to have at least one year experience from any recognised institution, industry and other public sector institutions. Around 1/3rd of the selected fellowship will be females.
The selected candidates will get to work in departments like Drought free Maharashtra, Incomplete dam projects, State forest department, Environment related projects, Public and private sector projects and Railway projects underway in the State.
Students from reputed education institution, IIT's, Government engineering colleges, NIT's and other premier educational institutions will be selected for this fellowship on the basis of their experience.
Students from these institutes will be given preference.
This fellowship will be a great opportunity for the students in the state to work in Government offices and projects as an intern and understand the system better while studying.
