In the year 2008, Mumbai University had prescribed around Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 13,500 for both three-year and five-year LLB course. Later, the state government categorised the law programmes as professional courses. Therefore, all the law colleges came under the ambit of Fee Regulating Authority (FRA).
