Maharashtra School Holiday 26 September 2024 Due to Rain: The Indian Meteorological Department has issued red and orange alrets for a few districts in Maharashtra after heavy rain fall from September 25 evening. Students are expecting the Maharashtra School Holiday 26 September 2024 to be declared as the situation is not under control yet. So far, BMC has declared a school holiday in the Mumbai city and sub-urban regions. A holiday is likely in Pune, Raigad, and Ratnagiri as a red alret has been issued for these districts. Areas have been reported to experience extremely heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightening, which is expected to continue for September 26 as well. The latest updates as per the information available from the government shall be updated here:As per the latest information available, the Maharashtra School Holiday 26 September 2024 is declared for Mumbai City and Suburban regions.
Although red alret is issued for Pune, Raigad, and Ratnagiri, a school holiday has not been confirmed for any of the districts yet.
IMD has issued an Orange alert for a few others, and a yellow alert for a few more districts for September 26. Schools and Colleges in the Red and Orange Alert zones are most likely to remain closed.
Schools that are affected by waterlogging shall be declared as closed at the regional level or by the school principal directly to the students and parents.
