Maharashtra School Holiday on July 27: Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation might announce the Maharashtra school holiday due to rain today, July 27. As per IMD prediction as updated on July 27 morning, Mumbai City and Mumbai Suburban are likely to experience heavy rainfall at isolated on July 27, in addition to the water logging issues the city is currently facing. IMD for July 27 has decreased the alerts in Mumbai, Pune, Thane, Palghar, and Kolhapur which were under orange alert earlier. All these districts have now been put under yellow alert. Red alerts in Raigad and Ratnagiri have also been reduced to orange alerts as per the afternoon update. The IMD data as updated on the morning of July 27, there is no red alert district but the orange alert is in Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg.

Based on IMD July 26 Prediction, Maharashtra School Holiday will be declared/likely in the following districts on July 27, 2024:
Schools in Pune and Ghat areas will remain closed on July 27, 2024.
All government and private schools in Mumbai will likely remain closed today.
Lonavala schools might also remain closedtoday.
Chandrapurand Gadchiroli districts are also flagged with Very Heavy Rain warnings and schools in these districts are also likely to remain closed but no confirmation is yet given.
Thane schools are closed since July 25, and they are likely to remain shut today as well. Though a confirmation on the same is awaited.
No school in the Yellow Alert Zone will remain closed on July 27. All schools will be carried out as usual.
