MANUU Gets UGC Approval for 3 New PG Courses
MANUU's Directorate of Distance Education has been granted an approval by the UGC to introduce three new postgraduate programmes in Hindi, Islamic Studies and Arabic.
Maulana Azad National Urdu University's Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) has been given approval by the UGC to introduce three new postgraduate programmes in Islamic Studies, Arabic and Hindi besides B.Com programme.
As per the official notification issued by the UGC Distance Education Bureau, they have also extended the recognition to six of its programmes which include B.A, B.Sc, BZC, MPC ad M.A. in Urdu, History and English.

Apart from this, MANUU will also offer the following programmes:
- Diplomas in Journalism and Mass Communication
- Certificate Programmes in Functional English
- Teach English
- Certificate Programmes in Proficiency in Urdu
However, certificate and diploma programmes through distance mode do not require the UGC approval. Mohammad Aslam Parvaiz, Vice- Chancellor, MANUU confirmed that they have got the approval from UGC to start three new programmes.

Meanwhile, University Grants Commission has directed all the higher educational institutes to follow the UGC Open and Distance Learning Regulations 2017 while applying for the recognition of their respective open and distance mode courses
