Maulana Azad Dental College (MAIDS) Ranked as Best Dental College in India
Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences (MAIDS), New Delhi has been ranked as the best dental college in India for the seventh time in a row. It is the only dental institute in India that offers Master of Dental Surgery in nine dental specialties.
As per the evaluation and report of independent rating agencies, Nielsen India, Drishti Strategic Research Services and Hansa Research, Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences (MAIDS) has been ranked as the best dental college in India. MAIDS New Delhi has achieved this fete seventh time in a row.
Out of 310 dental colleges that took part in the rankings, MAIDS New Delhi emerged as the top dental college in India. It is also the only dental institute in India to be accredited by NABH - National Accreditation of Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers.
MAIDS New Delhi offers five-year UG (undergraduate) course, i.e., Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS). It enrolls only 40 students in BDS course every year. On the other hand, MAIDS is the only dental institute in India that offers Master’s (Master of Dental Surgery) in nine dental specialities.

Director of MAIDS, Professor Mahesh Verma revealed that the premier dental institute nurtures each student with an outstanding academic environment. It inculcates a unique responsibility and passion in students. Such initiatives and teaching methods are helping the institute to produce highly skilled professionals in the dental healthcare.

Another noteworthy thing about MAIDS New Delhi is that it is the only dental institute in India to have collaborated in the development of original dental implant system in India. The initiative is being taken up under New Millennium Indian Technology Leadership Initiative-Dental Implant Project. Council of Scientific and Industrial Research has also collaborated with MAIDS for this unique initiative.
