MCET and IIT Bombay Sign MoU for Spoken Tutorial Project
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed by Methodist College of Engineering and Technology (MCET) and Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT B) for a Project on Spoken Tutorial.
Methodist College of Engineering and Technology (MCET) and Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT B) signed a Memorandum of Understanding for a new project on spoken tutorials - an open and free source software. As per the MoU, training of useful and helpful software at a cheaper cost will be provided to the teachers and students of different colleges and institutions across the state.
The project will cover approx 30 IT programmes which will be an advantage for the students of vocational and engineering backgrounds. The Spoken Tutorial Project will also include coding languages like C++, PHP, C, Linux, Java, MySQL and LaTeX. Since the programme will be hosted by IIT Bombay, students participating in the project will be awarded certificates by the institution.

Dr. Shyama Iyer, the National Coordinator (Training) at IIT-B indicated that the project on spoken tutorial would be beneficial for both teachers and students of the participating colleges. Shyama Iyer also requested for the participation of more colleges in the spoken tutorial project. Dignitaries including Dr. M Lakshmipathi Rao, Director, K Krishna Rao, Correspondent, Dr. S Venkateshwar, Dean and Dr. Ravinder Reddy, Principal, were also present at the MoU signing event.
