Medical Admissions to go Online in Gujarat
The officials said that since they have only three days to complete the admission process, they are opting for online admissions.
The government of Gujarat has decided to conduct counselling for Medical and Para Medical courses in online mode. The counselling is scheduled to commence from September 3, 2016. This is the first time that the government has taken initiative for conducting online admissions. The decision was taken by Admission Committee for Medical Professional Courses (ACMPC).

The officials mentioned that they would give two mock rounds to the students before taking up the first allocation of seats. The final decision is yet to be taken after consulting the expert committee of Medical Council of India. The decision is likely to be taken on August 22, 2016. The Medical Council of India has set up September 3 to September 5 for completing the admissions for medical courses.

However, the government is yet to take a final decision regarding the management and NRI quota seats. The officials said that since they have only three days to complete the admission process, they are opting for online admissions.
