Metropolitan University of Prague Honours Founder of KIIT and KISS
He dedicated the honour for the cause of each and every underprivileged child in the world.
Achyuta Samanta, Founder of Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) and Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), has been conferred Honorary Doctorate Degree by Metropolitan University of Prague. He was awarded a degree at the graduation ceremony of the varsity on October 15, 2016, for his exceptional services in integrating quality education with human values and social service.

It is the first time that the Metropolitan University has conferred Honoris Causa to someone since its inception. Earlier, Achyuta Samanta had received two degrees from other universities of Czech Republic. He received a ‘Silver Medal’ for his outstanding social work and contribution to the society.

Expressing his gratitude to the varsity, Achyuta Samanta said that he would continue to work with the same commitment and serve the society. He mentioned that he would create a level playing field for marginalised children. He dedicated the honour for the cause of each and every underprivileged child in the world.
