MHRD Introduces Internship Scheme for UG Students, List of Selected Students
The Ministry of Human Resource Development is inviting applications to the MHRD Internship Scheme 2019. The candidates who are interested in applying for the scheme must apply as soon as possible. The scheme will be applicable to students pursuing UG and Integrated PG courses only.
For students pursuing undergraduate and integrated PG courses in India and abroad, the Ministry of Human Resource Development has brought out an MHRD internship scheme 2019. The Internship scheme will allow the students to intern in MHRD or one of its bodies or Institutions. The Ministry is now inviting applications for the MHRD Internship scheme 2019.

All the interns above are required to accept the same latest by December 6th, 2019. The likely date for the commencement of the internship will be announced on December 15th, 2019.
MHRD Internship Scheme 2019 Eligibility Criteria
In order to avail the internship scheme, the aspirants will need to take part in the MHRD Internship Scheme 2019. As per the notice released by the MHRD, on its official website;
Candidates who are a citizen of India or an OCI (Overseas Citizen of India ) Cardholder are eligible for the scheme
Candidates pursue their undergraduate or integrated PG programme in different disciplines like Education, Engineering, Humanities, ICT, Management, Law, Science, Social Science from any recognised University or Institute in India or abroad.
Students who are pursuing a 3 or 4-year programme must have completed at least two years or 4 semesters in order to be eligible for the scheme. Candidates who are pursuing a 5-year integrated course must have completed at least 3 years or 6 semesters to be eligible for the scheme.
The students who will be completing their UG/Integrated PG course in November or December 2019, will be eligible for the internship cycle starting in Nov/Dec 2019. These students will not be eligible for the internship cycle starting from April/May 2020.
The students who will be completing their UG/Integrated courses in April or May 2020 will be eligible for the internship cycle that will begin from April or May 2020. These students, however, will not be eligible for the internship cycle starting from Nov/Dec 2020.

Students will also need to comply with the following rules as well in order to satisfy the eligibility criteria. The following list will consist of educational institutions that have been selected by the MHRD for the internship scheme. Students from these institutions will be eligible for the internship scheme alone.
Institutions of National Importance or Institutions of Eminence
Technical or Management Institutions that fall under the top 50 NIRF Ranking 2019 for Technical/Management Category
Students of Law, pursuing their course from one of the Top 10 Law Institutions as per the NIRF Ranking 2019 under Law category
Students from Top 50 Universities or Institutions as per NIRF Ranking 2019 for Universities Category.
Students from one of the Top 100 International Institutions of Eminence as per QS Ranking 2019
Benefits of the MHRD Internship Scheme 2019
The candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the MHRD Internship scheme 2019 must also read through the benefits of the MHRD Internship Scheme 2019. Among the features of the internship scheme by MHRD, candidates should note the duration, number of vacancies or slots available for each internship cycle as well as the stipend that will be offered to selected candidates.
The candidates selected for the MHRD Internship Scheme 2019 will be interning for a duration of two months and in individual cases, it can be extended to 6 months as well. There are two cycles of the Internship scheme, i.e. one in November/December and the other in April and May.
As per the notice on the official website of the MHRD, there are 15 slots that are available for the Internship scheme.
On successful completion of the Internship, the candidates will be offered a token stipend of ₹10,000 for every month.
The candidates will also be granted a certificate on the successful completion of their internship by the respective bureau, as per the recommendation of the Bureau Head of the concerned department.

Students will be selected as per guidelines that have been laid down by the Ministry. As of now, candidates must apply for the internship scheme if they are interested in gaining work experience. It is a great opportunity for the students to enhance their professional skills and increase their employability.
