MHRD Online Challenge: Send Ideas to Resolve Difficulties Caused by COVID-19
MHRD and AICTE have given an open challenge to the people to send across their ideas to solve the problems caused by COVID-19. Interested candidates can send their ideas until April 14, 2020.
The Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) and AICTE have come up with an open challenge for the people and have asked people to share ideas to solve difficulties that have arisen due to COVID-19. The challenge known as ‘Samadhan’ (means solution in English) is open to educators, students, researchers, start-ups and innovators.

In track one, candidates will need to share their ideas and create a design. As a part of the second track, candidates will have to get their ideas validated through prototype, pitch a working model and deploy it. Those who are interested in this challenge can register for the same on the official website of MHRD’s Innovation Cell (MIC) (mic.gov.in).

The entries have to be sent by April 14, 2020, and on the basis of the entries, top 200 entries will be shortlisted and the result will be declared on April 17, 2020. These will be mentored and then the candidates will have to create a YouTube video of their improved concepts. The results will be announced on April 22. On the basis of round 1, top 20 will be selected on April 22, they will be mentored further and will have to send a final concept video and presentation. Then, the top 10 will move ahead to round 3 and the results will be shared by the online jury by April 25. Earlier also, AICTE had partnered with the Amazon Web Services (AWS) to conduct a 2-day ideathon challenge #IndiaFightsCorona for which, more than 40,000 people had registered.
