Freeze vs Betterment after MHT CET Seat Allotment 2023: Sometimes the candidates get confused between what the freeze and betterment options indicate and what to select. Many candidates also remain unsure whether going for betterment in the next round means losing the current seat allocation. However, that is not the case, if betterment instructions as given by the CET Cell are followed accordingly. After releasing the MHT CET seat allotment result, it is mandatory for the candidates to choose between these two options. If the candidates are not satisfied with their MHT CET seat allotment 2023 in any round except the last round, then they should go for seat upgradation in the subsequent rounds. Here the candidates will find the clear difference between the freeze and betterment during the post-MHT CET seat allotment so that they can make their decision easily.

Freeze vs Betterment after MHT CET Seat Allotment 2023

Find out the distinction between Freeze vs Betterment here in the following section:

'Freeze' Option

  • If the candidates have been allotted a seat and they are satisfied with it without wishing to change it further, then they should opt for the 'Freeze' option.
  • Such candidates must pay the seat acceptance fees via online mode, specifically using credit card/ debit card/ net banking.
  • Freeze candidates will not be eligible to participate in the subsequent rounds of counselling.
  • Also, they should report to the allotted colleges as per the reporting dates given by the CET Cell.
  • Furthermore, if a candidate is allotted his/her first preference, then their seats will Auto-Freeze. Such candidates have no option but to take admission to the allotted institute. Online reporting, payment of seat acceptance fee, and offline reporting are mandatory steps for auto-freeze candidates as well.
  • Such candidates will not, under any circumstances, be allowed to participate in further counselling rounds.
  • If auto-freeze candidates do not pay the seat acceptance fee, then their allotted seat will be cancelled.

'Betterment' Option

  • If the candidates are dissatisfied with their current seat allotment and want a betterment, then they should opt for Betterment as the post-allotment choice.
  • Nevertheless, these candidates should also pay the seat acceptance fees so that they will get the provision to participate in the next counselling round.
  • Such candidates will retain their current seat allocation and participate in the next round at the same time.
  • However, if the candidate does not pay the seat acceptance fee, then their seat allocation will be cancelled.
