Ministry of Skills Development and Entrepreneurship Launches New MBA Programme
The duration of the programme is 15 months. The executive MBA programme will mitigate the shortage of health care professionals.
The Ministry of Skills Development and Entrepreneurship in collaboration with National Skill Development Corporation, Skill India, Apollo Medskills and SDM Institutions launched an executive MBA programme in Health Care Management on September 9, 2016.D. Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala inaugurated the programme. Preetha Reedy, Managing Director of Apollo Medskills, addressed the inaugural session.

The duration of the programme is 15 months. Devaraj, Director of SDM PG Centre, said that there would be great demand for health care managers in the coming years. The executive MBA programme will mitigate the shortage of health care professionals. To meet the demand, the institute has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Apollo Medskills to train manpower for domestic and international markets.

Graduates from any discipline are eligible to apply for this course. The initial intake of the course would be 40. The candidates who complete this course will be eligible to work in corporate hospitals, nursing homes, pharmacies, health department, assistant managers in medical institutions, and as HR Managers, Finance Managers and Marketing Managers in the healthcare sector.
The classes will take place from 5.00 PM to 8.00 PM every day. The classes will be conducted based on online webinars or case analysis, virtual classrooms, lectures in person and internet interaction session.
Out of the total 15 months duration of the course, three months intensive training session will take place in a recognised hospital. The resource persons would be experienced doctors, medical experts, superintendents and others.
