The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India has announced a pan-India online learning program, Incredible India Tourist Facilitators (IITF) Certification Programme. Any candidate who fulfils the eligibility criteria can apply for the program. The program can be carried out in any part of the country. Minimum eligibility for the program is 12th examination and the applicant must be of t least 18 years. The program aims to create a pool of trained professionals to make it easier for tourists to visit destinations across the country and developing the skills of the youth of India. The ministry said that the IITF Certification Programme is further divided into two categories i.e Basic and Advanced (Adventure and Heritage) with an optional specialisation course of fluency in a spoken foreign language other than English.

The advance course is available after completing the beginner course. The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India also said the program will help improve the overall experience of visitors who would benefit from local tourism facilitators ' expertise and will also help in the creation of new employment opportunities even in the most remote parts of the country.
