Mistakes in DU's SOL Paper Lead to Confusion
A mistake in the DU's School of Open Learning question paper led to confusion among the students and they faced difficulties in completing the exam. The Financial Accounting paper had many errors which were pointed out by invigilators very late.
Students insisted that different instructions were given in different centres, which led to confusion about how to evaluate the question. A Gargi College student who wrote the exam was only able to try three out of five questions. In addition to this several other B.Com (Honours) students went through the same situation at the School of Open Learning at the Financial Accounting paper at DU where they had multiple errors that were late pointed out by the invigilators, leading to confusion among the students and they were unable to complete the exam. The students mentioned that different instructions were given at the different centres and they ended up wasting one hour trying to solve a question. But After an hour, somebody came to the class and told them that the question had a problem.

Students also claimed that they were only informed of the error and asked to resolve the question anyway. There no uniformity and they faced a serious problem in the exam. Another student from the Shaheed Bhagat Singh College who wrote the exam also said that they had to spend an hour on questions and the invigilators did not give any clear instructions at the time of the exam. CS Dubey, the SOL Director, said the school had nothing to do with the paper framing. It was the DU exam centre that had got the paper drafted by the experts.
