Mody University Week-Long Founder’s Day Celebration Begins
Week-long celebrations for founder's day began at the Mody University. The event started from 22 January 2020 and will extend till 26 January 2020. The university will also organise an alumni meet, convocation, sports day, and curricular activities in upcoming days.
Mody University began the celebration of its founder’s day by organising week-long mega functions. The functions started from 22 January 2020 and will go on till 26 January 2020. The huge event is all set to host thousands of people including parents, faculty, esteemed guests and students. The celebration of the founder’s day will go through the entire week and will include cultural events, spiritual discourses, distinguished talks, and sessions.
The programmes of Mody University Founder's Day commenced from 22 January 2020 and the events will be marked with the Ram Yagya and Agni Sthapana. 21 Vedic priests from Tirupati will perform the religious functions for all the five days.
On the first day i.e. 22 January 2020, the programme commenced with the lamp-lighting and Kulgeet in the presence of the honourable Chairman Shri R P Mody, Management Council, Shri S.S. Bhuwania, and Dr. M Venu Gopala, Director Mody University and all division's heads of Mody University, Schools and other dignitaries. Followed by the same, Ms. Jaya Row from the Creator Vedanta Vision delivered a philosophical discourse in order to enlighten the students. She explained the utmost importance of peaceful mental space in this restless world. While motivating the audience to live happy lives she inspired the students to leave mediocrity behind and pursue excellence. After the discourse, an inauguration ceremony of the Mody School Exhibition was performed by Madam Tara Agarwal, Rajasthan Higher Judicial Services, District & Session Judge (MSCT), Sikar (Rajasthan). The exhibition witnessed theme-based projects related to various disciplines. The first day of the celebration ended with cultural performances, art exhibition and live music by the students of both, Mody School and Mody University. The performance also included Sampurna Ramayana Theatre Performance and band performance.
The director of the Mody University, Dr. M. Renu Gopala Rao, said that on 23rd January people will witness the highlight of the Founder’s Day Celebration. The Chief Guest, Dr. Anil Sahasrabudhe, AICTE Chairman, will be present on the 14th Convocation of the Mody University. All undergraduate, Postgraduate and Ph.D students will be awarded a degree in the convocation. The university will also give recognition to successful alumni and brilliant performers. On the same day, the university has organised an alumni meet where the former students of Mody University will be able to meet their Alma Mater. Also, lined up next will be a melodious performance by Hemant Kumar Musical Group.

The highly anticipated and much-awaited Centre for Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE) will be inaugurated on the 24 January 2020. The eminent guests and gathering consisting of Mr. Chand Kaushil, Head (ICT, Innovations and Solutions), United Nations Office of Information and Communication Technology (OICT), India, Mr. N. P. Rajive, Vice Chairman, National Innovation Foundation (NIF), Ms. Nidhi Kakkad, Manager Digital Acceleration and Innovations, HDFC Bank, Mr. Thirupuzzuha, Addl. Secy NDMA, GoI, Mr. Kiran Gadhari, Head Digital Innovations and API Banking, HDFC, Dr. Ranit Chatterjee, Co-founder, RIKA India and a Postdoctoral Fellow at Kyoto University, Japan, Dr. Rajib Shaw, Professor, Graduate School of Media and Governance, Keio University, Japan, and Mr. Pravin Rajpal, Founder Innovationext will witness the inauguration. Kavyanjali programme will be conducted next and that will be honoured by the presence of the renowned author and poet Shri Nilotpal Mrinal. The prize distribution and cultural event ceremony will be graced by the Justice Mahesh Sharma Chairman of State Human Commission, Jaipur.
Mody School will also host other events like Annual Sports Day for its students. Ms. N Kunjarani Devi, the most celebrated Indian sportswoman in weightlifting will mark her presence during the event. On 25 January 2020, the audience will see a brilliant performance by the Padamashri actor. Mr. Manoj Joshi, on Chanakya by Dharmajam.

Dr. Vinod Purohit, Registrar and Dr. V K Jain, Dean Academics of the Mody University were delighted to inform that the university is excited and is looking forward to hosting all the amazing guests, brilliant talents, and events for both, the stakeholders and the students. On the last day of the function, i.e. 26 January 2020, the event will conclude with the Republic Day celebration besides the auspicious ceremony of Shri Ram Yagya’ Poornahuti. The celebrations on the concluding day will be conducted in the presence of the Chief Guest, Lieutenant-general (retd) SPS Katewa, PVSM, AVSM.
The founder’s day event at Mody University was a much-awaited event. Now that it has started, everyone is excitedly looking forward to the celebration.
