More Boys Seek Guidance from CBSE Exam Helplines as Compared to Girls, Reveal Experts
Experts say that most of the boys deflate during the examinations and they are most disorganised compared to girls.
As per the data compiled by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), most of the boys of Class X & XII are feeling nervous and seeking help on CBSE helpline regarding concentration, time management and syllabus. However, the number is less among the girls with respect to the same. It reveals that boys are more panicking more about the examinations and they tend to call helpline number of CBSE to seek help.
In the year 2016, males including students and fathers made around 3,418 calls to the helpline number of CBSE. On the other hand, the number of females including girl students and mothers had made just 900 calls. Similarly, the number was around 3000 for males and 972 for females in the year 2015.

According to experts, boys do not plan their study schedule well in advance and later panic during the examinations. They often feel stressed and nervous when the exams are almost approaching the commencement. Consequently, they end up making calls on the helpline numbers as most of them are unable to concentrate and manage time for the examination. However, such is not the case with girls. They are more organised, and good at preparing for the examinations in advance.

One of the experts explained that most of the boys feel relaxed at the beginning of the academic year and they start preparing for the examination at the eleventh hour which leads to increasing amount of stress. On the other hand, girls start studying from the beginning of the academic year, which is why they are able to outperform boys in the examinations.
