Most DU Colleges to Release 2nd Cut-off List; Check Number of Vacant Seats Here
- Most of the DU colleges have anticipated that they will be releasing a second cut-off list.

Admissions for the session 2017-18 have begun at Delhi University as the first cut-off list has been announced. Looking at the number of students who turned up for the first round of admission, most of the DU colleges have anticipated that they will be releasing a second cut-off list.
However, Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) has almost closed the admission to its Economics (Hons.) programme as all 123 seats have been filled. There will no second cut-off list for Economics (Hons.) programme for the general candidates. Nevertheless, the college will be releasing a second list for B.Com (Hons.) programme as all 501 seats in the programme have not been filled.

Anju Srivastava, Principal of Hindu College, said that the college has received a good response but the final number of vacant seats will be declared after the first round of admissions has been closed.

Most of the colleges recorded a dip in the first cut-off this year. Despite the drop, only a few students turned up for admissions at various colleges. Most of the colleges reported that the students usually wait till the second cut-off list before applying for colleges.
Principal of Kirori Mal College, Dinesh Khattar, said that seats remain vacant in most of the courses as only 150 admissions have been recorded so far. He also added that a second cut-off list will most likely be published for all the courses.

The Principal of Hans Raj College added that from the past few years, the college has been following a trend of closing near to 100 admissions after the first cut-off. He also added that a better response is achieved after the announcement of the second list. The final dip in cut-offs will be decided after closing the first round of admissions, the principal added.
