MoUs Signed by Telangana Govt. to Develop Engineering Courses in Aviation

A total of two Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) were signed the Telangana government that aim at developing and setting up of Skill Development Centres in the aviation sector. The official documentation was completed at the recently held Aero India 2017 in Bangalore (Bengaluru) last weekend.
Details of MoUs signed:
One MoU was signed with France that has a total of three partners including National Skill Development Council, Airbus and School Aquitaine. The primary objective behind this sign up is to create an Aero Skills Academy with top-class facilities and infrastructure with the help of academia and industries based in Telangana. The centre will come up in the old airport region of Begumpet. Engineering courses will be designed and framed in such a way that the youth will be able to receive training so that their skills can foster in accordance with the previously set industry standards and trends.

On the other hand, the second MoU was signed with the UK-based Cranfield University, which is best known for its aeronautical engineering courses throughout the world.
Once the new academia is set up, it will be ensured that specialised course programmes in the varied fields of manufacturing, aeronautical engineering and maintenance are structured to provide vocational and technical training to the youth. Apart from that, short duration courses are also likely to be included in the same that will not only be tailor-made as per industry requirements but will also provide a growth environment to experienced technicians.

The Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Industries and Information Technology organised several meetings at the Aero India event in Bangalore before signing these MoUs.
