MP Engineering Students are Now Allowed to Use Hindi Language for Writing Exams
This rule was passed on the Hindi Day.
According to the new rule, from now on, the engineering students of Madhya Pradesh will be allowed to use whichever language they feel comfortable in i.e. Hindi or English while giving an exam. The students of colleges that come under the RGPV i.e. Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, (almost 200 colleges) will be benefited from this decision. Piyush Trivedi, who is the Vice Chancellor of RGPV, said that this decision was taken after a majority of the board supported it. This decision was announced on the Hindi Day which made it a little more liberating and special.

Deepak Joshi, who is the School Education Minister, said that they come across a lot of cases of students dropping out every year. The sole reason behind that was English. He said that it does not matter which language the student is using as long as the answer is correct and meaningful.
From now on, the students will be given a choice between Hindi and English in the beginning of the college and they will have to follow the choice till the end. The students who select Hindi will have the liberty to use the technical terms in English as it makes more sense.

On the other hand, Professor Adarsh Sachdeva, who is a Faculty Member at a private engineering college said that this move will demean the students as most of the students who apply to the colleges under RGPV are from English-medium schools and there is a very little percentage of Hindi-medium students. He said that this decision will put a stop on the student’s growth as this will not help them in the long run.
This decision has been executed after a long debate but only time will tell how good this idea really is.
