MRSPTU Signs MoU with PSCAC to Set Up Aeronautical Engineering College in Patiala
- MRSPTU MoU with PSCAC will provide education and training facilities to the students along with the optimal utilization of all the available resources.
- As of now, the college will be offering courses such as B.Tech in Aerospace and B.Tech in Aeronautical.
A Memorandum of Understanding - MoU has been signed between Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU) and Punjab State Civil Aviation Council (PSCAC) for the establishment of Punjab State Aeronautical Engineering College (PSAEC) in Patiala.
The collaboration between MRSPTU and PSCAC will work on the mutual development of the college. They will provide academic, financial, training facilities and administrative support in the establishment of the college. The main aim of the MoU is to provide best education and training to the students along with the optimal utilization of all the available resources. The new institute will serve as a benchmark for all the aeronautic engineering colleges across the country.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on 17 April 2018. As per the reports, Chief Minister has given his assurance to provide assistance and support for the establishment of the institute. He also assured that the Patiala Aviation Club which is next to the college will provide students with practical knowledge about aeronautics and flying experience.

The new college would be functional from the current academic session and will be offering courses such as B.Tech in Aerospace and B.Tech in Aeronautical. The classes for the respective programmes are scheduled to start from the last week of August. The university has already chalked out the curriculum and the admission notice will be released shortly.
