Mumbai Police Recruitment 2023: The Mumbai Police is set to recruit constables for 994 posts, making it the largest recruitment drive in history. 7 lakh candidates applied for the post. The Mumbai Police is ready to shortlist the most eligible aspirants for the police constable driver and constable roles.  

Mumbai Police Recruitment 2023: Highlights

The following are the highlights of the Mumbai Police recruitment drive for 2023: 

• On the first day, 2000 candidates had to go through physical tests in Naigaon and Marol. The candidates had to meet the basic measurement criteria for police roles. Mumbai Police used sensor heels, magnetic belts, prism sticks, and radio identification tags for the measurement. The physical tests include throwing a ball at the maximum distance and running 1600 m. Forty candidates were sent back because they did not meet the measurement criteria. 

• The qualified candidates need to sit and pass the next round or the written examination to become constable. 

• Those who want to become police constable drivers need to sit for the driving test as well. Only the ones who qualify for the physical, written, and driving test can fulfill their dream of becoming police constable drivers. 

• The event is being held under the supervision of 8 policemen. 

• 30 CCTV cameras are also set at the venue to avoid unfair practices. 

Mumbai Police Recruitment 2023: Eligibility

Only candidates who fell between 18 and 28 years of age and had passed the Class 12 boards were shortlisted for the physical test round. The candidates in the reservation category received a relaxation on the maximum age limit.
