Mumbai University Declares BA & B.Sc Semester V & VI Results

After a long delay, the University of Mumbai has finally declared the fifth and sixth-semester results for three-year B.Sc course and three-year B.A course. Students who appeared for the examinations had been eagerly waiting for the results. The results have been published on the official website of Mumbai University.
The varsity was to complete the evaluation process of answer sheets on July 31, 2017. However, the linking of answer sheets to students had further delayed the result announcement. The varsity adopted an ‘On Screen’ evaluation process failure of which resulted in a delay in the evaluation process.

How to Check Mumbai University Final Year Results 2017?
- Open the official website of the University of Mumbai.
- On the homepage, click on ‘Exams and Results’.
- A new page flashes on the screen.
- Click on the option ‘Results’.
- The candidates can check the streamwise results.
- Enter the roll number to check the results.

The varsity will begin declaring the delayed results of various courses in two phases. The government of Maharashtra has directed the varsity to declare the results of assessed exam papers. However, the results of Commerce and Law courses might be delayed, as the varsity is yet to complete the assessment of exam papers. Last week, three students of Law Faculty of Mumbai University approached the High Court of Bombay demanding the varsity to pay a compensation of Rs. 10 lakh for the delay in declaration of results.
Earlier, on August 7, 2017, the Management Council of the University of Mumbai decided to slash the charges for obtaining photocopies of answer sheets and re-evaluation by 50%. The officials of the varsity stated that the decision had been taken for the benefit of students. With an objective to save the paper cost, the varsity will send the copy of answer sheets to the candidate’s e-mail. The candidates who complete the first semester in the 2017 academic session can avail the benefit of the revised fee.
As per revised fee, the candidates need to pay Rs. 250 for re-evaluation and Rs. 50 for obtaining the photocopy of the answer sheet.
