Mumbai University and SPPU Postpone Exams
- Mumbai University and SPPU postponed exams scheduled on January 3, 2018, due to ongoing protests and disturbances.
- The varsities will announce the revised date of the exams for various courses soon.
Due to recent upheaval and disturbance in Maharashtra, the authorities of Mumbai University and Savitribai Phule Pune University postponed the exams that were scheduled on January 3, 2018. The postponed exams will be conducted at a later date and the varsity will communicate the revised dates to students soon.
Mumbai University postponed the following exams schedule on January 3, 2018, between 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM: -
- Five-year LLB - Semester VII
- MCA - Semester IV
- B.Sc IT - Semester V
- B.Sc – Year End Exam for Third Year Students
- M.Com - Part I Final Exam
- B.Com - Semester VI
- M.A Part I and Part II - Final Exam
- M.Ed Special Education - Semester I
- B.A Third Year - Annual Exam

Various schools across Maharashtra also remain closed on January 3, 2018, due to the ongoing Bhima Koregaon protest.
The University of Mumbai has retained the process of ‘On Screen Assessment’ for the ongoing winter exams. After the completion of exams, it is the responsibility of varsity to declare the results within 30 – 45 days. The varsity has taken all the steps for the smooth ensure of assessment process without any technical glitches. Unlike April 2017 exams, the results of winter exams will not be delayed.
The performance of Mumbai University was not up to the mark in 2017 due to results mess. All the developmental activities that had to be taken up in 2017 were stalled due to the dismissal of VC and results mess.
