Mumbai University is coming up with its own revenue generating job search engine exclusively for its students.
Mumbai University is planning to launch its own revenue generating job search engine exclusively for its students & alumni, where students can surf for the latest updates on jobs availability across sectors.
Director, Department of Economics, Neeraj Hatekar who is in charge of the project said that a prototype of the portal is already ready and soon a dry run will be initiated to test the serch engine's potential. The portal will display information of students like academic records, skill-set & aptitude, which can be viewed by prospective employers across the globe. Once an employer shortlists a profile, they will need to get in touch with the placement cell of the college to get in touch with the student. The advantage of having such a portal is that colleges, where companies usually don't visit, will also get visibility. The revenue generated through this interchange will be shared by the college and Mumbai University. In addition, all affiliate colleges stand to get incentives, if they offer job-oriented courses.
