NAAC Inspection Outcome: Ambedkar University to have Multiple Placement Cells Soon

With a motive to assist students in getting jobs, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University will soon set up multiple placement cells. The major aim of the varsity is to provide career guidance to students and improve them into a job-ready human resource. An official of the varsity revealed that each of the 17 residential wing institutions of the varsity would have a separate placement cell. These 17 institutes offer various UG and PG courses in social sciences, engineering, humanities, home science, journalism and tourism.
During the recent NAAC inspection, the team pointed that the varsity does not have a dedicated placement cell to assist students in getting jobs. Last week, the Executive Council of the varsity arrived at a consensus for setting up independent placement cells at the 17 residential wing institutions of the varsity. The placement cells will have all the modern amenities.

Spokesperson of the varsity, Mr. G Sharma mentioned that the placement cells would play a crucial role in motivating, training and preparing students for job interviews. These placement cells will also invite various reputed companies for campus placements as well as training programmes on subjects like personality development. Students can also take the mock aptitude test, mock interviews and group discussions, he added.

Mr. Sharma also explained that the placement cells would also organise industrial visits, meetings and workshops between companies and students. The varsity will invite eminent personalities from the industry to guide students. Conferences and seminars on varied topics will also be a part of placement cell activities. The varsity will also seek the help from alumni working in various MNCs to guide and provide tips to students.
